What is the purpose of the survey?
The Smarter Thinking Profile survey assesses your irrational performance beliefs. The main purpose of you completing the survey is to receive a free downloadable report that details your irrational beliefs for you.
What will happen if I complete the survey?
The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete on one occasion. You can complete it on your phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer.
Please complete the survey as honestly as you can. Sometimes people feel they should not admit their thoughts and feelings, but actually, many people consider focusing on how they think and feel an important part of their development. Please indicate your feelings as accurately as you can on the survey, so that your free report is accurate.
Do I have to complete the survey?
Completing the survey completely voluntary. You should only complete it if you want to know more about your irrational performance beliefs. Once you have read the disclaimer, please contact us if you have any questions that will help you make a decision about completing the survey.
What are the possible risks of taking part?
Some people may find some of the questions uncomfortable as they are asking about thoughts and beliefs, and could cause emotional distress and anxiety in some people. Therefore, if you have in the past or are currently suffering from a mental illness, please consider whether you want to complete the survey carefully. If you are unsure about your mental health status please contact us before deciding to complete the survey.
What are the possible benefits of taking part?
By completing the survey, you will gain a greater insight into your irrational performance beliefs via a free report. At the end of the report, we make some suggestions about how to use this information.
Data handling and confidentiality
Your data will be processed in accordance with the data protection law and will comply with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (GDPR).
This survey is completely independent from your occupation and is not linked in any way to your employer. You will not be asked for your name at any point in completing the survey. All information collected from you will be kept confidential and will only be accessible to the Smarter Thinking Profile team, and all data will be destroyed after 10 years. Responsible members of Limelight Marketing Communications Ltd may be given access to the data for monitoring of the website to ensure it is functioning as it should.
We may use the confidential and anonymous data for publication in a scientific journal, book, or book chapter, present the data at a conference, and/or share our findings via blogs and social media. Any research publication would not and cannot (since we don’t have your name) identify you individually. If you wish to obtain a copy of the published results, please inform the team.

You also have other rights including rights of correction, erasure, objection, and data portability. What if I change my mind about taking part?
If you wish to withdraw your data from our database, please contact us. Using some basic personal information, we can locate your data and remove it. You are free to withdraw without having to give a reason. Withdrawing your data will not affect you in any way.
If you choose to withdraw your data we will not retain any information that you have provided us.
